Dr. Charles A. Woods is a native of Clover, South Carolina in York County. He is the son of Frances Woods and the late Gilbert Woods. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Wanda B. Woods to this union they have been blessed with five children,1 daughter-in-law, 4 son-in-laws, and 10 grandchildren.
Dr. Charles A. Woods is a graduate of Clover High School in SC. He was called into the ministry in 1978. After receiving this call, he expanded his understanding of God’s Word by obtaining an Associates of Religion from Gaston Baptist Association. He continued his studies at Emmanuel Baptist College. There he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Theology and Religious Education, Christian Counselors’ degree, and a Master of Arts in Theology. Pastor Woods was also bestowed an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Agape Baptist Seminary.
Pastor Woods was first appointed within his home church, Jerusalem Baptist Church of Clover, SC, as Youth Pastor. In 1988, he was called to serve as pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church where he has ministered for the past 30+ years. During his tenure Ebenezer’s ministries have expanded to include a Youth Choir, Praise Dance Ministry, New Members’ Class, and Wedding Counseling. Additionally, God provided Pastor Woods with the vision to erect a new church edifice in 2005.
God continues to strengthen Dr. Woods to preach, teach, and reach lost souls. It is Dr. Woods’ daily desire to please God by giving Him all the glory, honor, and praise for the great things He has done!
